Invalid Redirect URL message after login

So I'm consistently getting this message every time I log in from the main page. I noticed it after the banner changed. Thoughts?

@Pierocksmysocks try compatibility view settings and add WF to the list. Seemed to work for me.

I can't recreate yet. If dawhites trick doesn't work for you, can you confirm your browser for me? Looks like you are using Chrome from your screenshot.

And this is the page you were signing in at: Jeep Wrangler Forum - Jeep Wrangler Owners Community

@HelenaAG I’m on IE and couldn’t sign in today in my work computer. I’m on Tapatalk.

Once I sign it, it either directs me to “invalid url”, or “thank you for logging in” sign in, however when the page auto refreshes, I’m not signed in.

Switched over to IE 11 to test further, and still not getting anywhere with recreation. Can you clear cookies and give it another try?

If the page finishes "signing in" and then you get the same screen again, can you try navigating to a different page on the forum and see if you are signed in there?

I am having this same issue and tried what you suggested. After getting to the Invalid URL response I navigated to a section and noticed that I was signed in.

Cheers

I've had this issue as well on chrome. However, I never logout when I leave the site and I always check "remember me" when signing in. In the last day or so every time I go to wranglerforum.com, which is how I have the site bookmarked, I'm signed out and it's telling me I need to reset my password.
If I skip the sign in and go into a thread, all of a sudden I'm already signed in.

@lumberjack357 that worked for me today too. I got stuck in the sign in screen with "invalid url". I then opened up another tab for WF and I was signed in.

Yesterday I tried different scenarios including what I just did today to no avail ... it just randomly logged me in after numerous attempts.

With Chrome, if I don't type the "www" ahead of wranglerforum.com, I get the invalid URL message. If I go directily to Jeep Wrangler Forum - Jeep Wrangler Owners Community, works fine. It appears redirects are not handled well.

I was logged out due to time sensitivity. I tried logging back in numerous times. @Off Pavement I tried “www.” and it worked for me. It’s a hit/miss.

time sensitivity timed out again. I tried logging in and gave up and closed the tab. waited 5 minutes and opened up WF and I was logged in automatically. This issue is random.

Hello there,

Yes, there is a problem where if you don't type in "www." within the forum, you will not be able to log in. It is an issue that we are looking into.

We'll inform everyone when it is resolved. For right now, please use "www.wranglerforum.com" instead of "wranglerforum.com"

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

Edward

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to follow up and see how's the situation going. Any improvements on this issue? Are people still not able to log in?

@HelenaAG ... First thing I did once I got to work this am is sign on using IE. I did type "www" and it did work for me today. I haven't tried without "www" since I was able to log in right away.

Whatever you did, thanks. I've had this issue since last week and tried a combination of multiple sign ins.

@HelenaAG I seem to have the same issue again after coming back from my lunch break. I cannot login. Tried using “www” and without. I tried compatibility view and still unable to login.

I’m using Tapatalk

@HelenaAG ... i'm back online. What I did is close the whole internet explorer (not just the tab) and reopen a new one. I did that and I was able to login. Its so random.

That would be correct. Just tried the www, and it worked, seemed slower but worked. Had an odd message off to the side, but forgot what it said by the time I checked my notifications lol.

I switched over to using www. vs just the domain and I haven't had issues. It still persists without the www, but simple problem, simple solution on my end.

Alright, I think we are fixed with this now. You should no longer get the error message when signing in with, our without the 'www.'
