"show all conent" pop up and "message you entered is too short" error

I'm having issues with this forum that I haven't had before. Every time a page loads, I get a small yellow pop up at the bottom, it says "show all content", and I need to either close it or click on the show all content button.

Another very frustrating thing is that I can never submit new thread on the 1st attempt. When I type up a new thread and click "submit", the page refreshes, I get the "show all content" pop up, and the refreshed page states

"the following errors occurred with your submission: 1. The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters."

and the body of the thread is blank. so I've been smart, I've been copying the body of the new typed up thread before doing this, so I don't have to retype it, and then when I paste it and click submit on 2nd try, it always works.

it's very frustrating. I'm using IE11. it happened again just now when trying to post this. I have to click on "show all content" and only then it posts on a refresh.

Now that the site is SSL (also known as https), communication that is not encrypted on the site will be blocked by most modern browsers. IE on the other hand, being a bit older, has trouble telling the difference between encrypted and un-encrypted communication and ends up blocking more then it should.

Follow these steps:

Top Right Menu in IE (the one shaped like a Gear)>Internet Options>Security>Custom Level

About a little over half way down the window you'll get, there is an option for "Display Mixed Content". You want that to be set to "Enable" (default setting is "Prompt")

Give that a try and you shouldn't get the yellow window popup. After that, if you still get that "too short" error message, we'll keep digging

Kevin

Yes, but I work for a defense contractor with many secret programs, no adjustments can be made, which is just fine,

Glad to hear it worked.

Let us know if you continue to see anything further on this.
