2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at a very good price (for My 16 year old Daughter). But am having a few issues. I 1st want to thank everyone who replies with help. THANK YOU.

125,000 Miles 3.8L JKU.

The Jeep will run perfectly but at times will act like it isn't getting enough gas.
It will stall out. Hard to get back started.
It does throw 2 codes out P0171 7 P0174. I have read what might cause this but let me share with you what it also does. Just before it goes into this stall or wont stay started issue, the windshield wipers will turn on but they are in the off position.
You can then turn them to the on position and they will stop briefly but start working again. 1 more thing. If I try to start the Jeep and it is trying to stall out, If I keep the key turned to the full forward starting position (hold it on) the jeep will drive perfect. When I release the key it will try to stall out.
I am wondering if anyone else has dealt with this problem before and what did you do? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The codes indicate a lean condition, which can be a lot of things. I don't know about it stalling the engine though and not re-starting. However the electrical gremlins lead me to a possible clock spring issue or ignition switch problem. Jeeps have had known clock spring issues. Sounds like it could be electrical to me. If the jeep was driven with the top off frequently the steering column would be exposed to more dust and also possibly water. Sorry to not be more help. Please update when you find the cause.

The wiper involvement leads me to believe it's a TIPM issue.. fuel pump relay kicking in/out. It's leaning out because the fuel pump is intermittent.

Grounding issue. Wow such a small but huge thing. I found 2 grounds not having good connections.

I will reply if the problem persists.
