2009 JK Center Console OEM Replacement?

Hey Guys, TJ owner here, trying to help a friend with his 2-Door 2009 JK X... Tried to find this topic in previous post, but was unsuccessful.

We are looking for a complete OEM center console (Grey with arm rest, manual transmission), to replace the "mini console" that came from the factory... Does anyone sell these complete kits? I have found the center console on Mopar, but it is pieced out in 10+ pieces...which is ONE way to go about it, but seems a little inefficient.

Also, does anyone know if the 2009 Wranglers had subwoofers in the center console? As it would be nice to get the new console with the sub already installed...Did the 2009 Wranglers come from the factor with wiring for a subwoofer?

Last question... Does anyone know about the interior lighting on the 2009 JK's? His seems to ONLY have a single overhead dome light?
What about the floor lights on the driver and passenger side?

Thanks for any help!

I am sure others will help but a salvage yard seems to be your best shot. Much cheaper than new parts.

I've seen them on eBay from time to time. I've never heard of a center console with a subwoofer, however.

My '08 2-door has the mini console. When I got sick of the ugly grey, I scuffed the whole thing up and sprayed it with bedliner. Once dry, I worked a wet scotchbrite pad over it a bit to take off some of the rough texture. I did the same thing to the door panels. I'm much, much happier with it, now.

Damn that grey was ugly.

Regarding the sub wiring, I think only certain factory options came with the upgraded stereo and subwoofer, and the subwoofer enclosed was attached to the rear rollbar, I believe on the passenger side. Mine certainly didn't have one. I've since built a sub box and attached it to the tailgate, and have an amp located under the passenger seat. Some guy on eBay was selling a under-seat shelf for amps.

Domelights...Yep, just the one. No under-dash lighting in the footwells.

No subs in the console. That was a TJ thing.

Thanks for the response... Finally found the info on the subwoofer, and it is as you said. Came in a molded box, in the rear passenger storage area/trunk. If you have a JK with no sub, and get yourself a stock sub...You will have to upgrade the radio, AND acquire the wiring. The stock/basic radio with not push the upgraded Infinity Sub option from the factory. So, adding the sub involves a number of things (and money) to make it fly.

The floor lighting is a bit frustrating... Need to find out how/where you can connect aftermarket floor lights into the electrical system/door relay switch.

I pasted a couple of threads about adding footwell lights.

Ditto! I would look at salvage yards and Craigslist. I think that would be the best bet and much cheaper

Take a look at Tuffy Security for a full console for the '09 but call them to make sure that they don't reuse some of the original console's parts. They didn't reuse anything in a my TJ and my JK only takes the half-console version, so I don't have any real-life experience with the early JK's.
