Unhappy 2010 Jeep Wrangler antifreeze leak on passenger side

I think I know the answer but after looking at threads and seeing cost to fix, I guess I am hoping it is not so.... I just noticed wet carpet on the passenger side and when I pulled the carpet, I noticed a red tint and slimy feel and smell to the liquid. I checked my antifreeze overflow and it was a bit low. When I start up cold, I hear a whoosh up front and then as it warms up, a steady small stream comes from center console onto passenger side. Is there ANY possibility that this is NOT a leak in the heater core? I see it costs 800-$1200 to replace that by a dealer!

That sounds like it could be the heater core. It could also possibly be from a loose hose connection going into the heater core which would be a lot easier and inexpensive fix.
