2018 JK Sahara and DRLs

This topic has probably been covered somewhere else, but I'm bringing it up again because I can't find a good solution anywhere. Is there any way to turn on the DRLs in a 2018 JK. I've read that people have used a Procal device, but that's a pretty pricey tool. If there isn't an economical way to do this using the ECM, I'll just wire them through a separate switch so that I can control them at will.

If I have to go the switch route, anyone know where to buy a dash compatible switch? I have one slot available.

It does require an adapter such as this one, but not too pricey:

Iím sure the local Jeep dealer can activate it for you as well.

Have purchased an ELM327 dongle and downloaded the JScan app to my phone. Dongle supposed to be delivered tomorrow, so we'll see how things go. If you do enable the DRL option, what do you get? I noticed that with the Procal you had a choice of Hi or Low headlights or fogs for the DRL. Does the JScan offer that option as well. Didn't see it on the web page.

I tried to get the dealership to turn the DRLs on, but all they said was that my Jeep didn't have DRLs.

OBD Jscan has it all.
It's fast becoming THE most powerful app available for analysis, troubleshooting, adjustments... etc. It's pretty much a combination of procal, flashcal, appcar and torque pro. Everything those can do Jscan can do, and more.

The author isn't slowing down either. Each week or two more is added in updates and fixes. I got into jscan almost a year ago now and I'm stunned at what it was when I started... and now. It's well on it's way to becoming a pro level app..... and probably a pro level price tag at some point too.

Just an FYI for those with older JKs like my '08... most of the options in JScan don't work. Says something like "this module not supported". The good news is, changing the DRL settings does work.

To be fair to the JScan author, this is likely a limitation of the Jeep's computers rather than JScan, but still... it was kind of disappointing.
