2018 JKU Lemon! Won't restart on Hot Engine!

I love my Jeep, but for the 4th time now. It doesn't start back up when the engine is hot, leaving me stranded wherever I may be at that moment for at least 30 minutes waiting for the engine to cool off so it will start again. Definitely not safe for me since I drive into to the city a lot.
I just dropped it off at the dealer for the 4th time, they fixed it the last 3x and here we go again.
At what point does the manufacturer admit that its a lemon (in Missouri) and replace it or purchase it back from me. I want my Jeep but not if its going to keep doing this! b There is a service bulletin out for this issue but it keeps happening to me, so frustrating.

Does your JKU fail to start when the engine is hot?

Not sure about MO lemon laws..

This suggestion might be a total waste of time and money... But I managed to fix a Ford product with a similar "No start when warm" problem. If I shut it off warm, it wouldn't start again until it had sat for a few hours.

It sounds like some electronic component doesn't like getting warm. Usually heat is found under the hood, so it's a good chance that's where the component is located.

Get some freeze spray.. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Max-Pro-F...Spray/21576411

Next time you experience a no start condition when hot, spray the freeze on the ECM (see image below). Cool it down to room temperature or lower. If that clears the condition, you can blame the ECM. (If not, you can also try cool down other electronic components and sensors under the hood).

If none of this works, then you'll at least have a can of freeze spray to cool down your beer

Thanks, but there is an actual service bulletin on this specific issue. they know about it but they can't figure out how to fix it permanently. The subject of the service bulletin is "No rank Condition when hot, starts normal when cold"

Most states declare a lemon after 5 fix attempts or vehicle VOR for 30 days within one year.
Some states it's only the first year of ownership and then things get funny. The better states for consumers have lemon laws for 3 years.
@JeepCares might be able to get you escalated. They did a nice job moving my driveshaft problem to the front of the line recently.

I thought the TSB has them replace the transmission valve body and that fixes the problem.......?

I have read that the dealers will avoid replacing the transmission valve body until a last resort for many silly reasons, but once it's replaced, the problem is fixed....

Are you saying they replaced the transmission valve body and you still have the problem...??

How many days in total has it been off the road for this safety-related repair?

Call Jeep and start the lemon process.
That's a safety related failure and they've had enough time/attempts to remedy it.

I had a MINI Cooper that got the lemon. After my appeal and their review the dealer called me up and said, "what color do you want your new MINI?" Gave me an inventory sheet of what was available in the entire southeast. Made it as painless as possible.

Lemon Jeep Wrangler

The dealer did call me the other day after I sent a long email w dates and details and they are looking for another Wrangler for me. Said they were going to buy back the Jeep and replace it with same or better. I'll keep you posted on how smooth this goes in the next couple of days.

It may not be relevant to you any more, since you are getting the Jeep replaced but this may be of a help for other Jeepers facing similar issue. It sounds similar to a case addressed by ScannerDanner in a Dodge Truck.
