3.6 vs 3.8 snorkels

Iím not familiar with the differences in the engine compartments of the two models, but I do believe the air boxes are in the same spot. Why are 3.6 snorkel so much pricier than 3.8?

Not sure what the difference is but I do know there have been a few guys that have made the 3.8 version work on the 3.6.

From memory, the AEV 3.6 snorkel has a larger bore, so flows more air, compared to the one they originally developed for the 3.8.

I think better airflow, but I may be just pure marketing as there should be more 3.6 than 3.8 around. I recently installed a Safari on my 18' JK and I can tell you it makes a huge difference on lowend acceleration and I also gained 3 MPGs in city, Im expecting to see at least 4 MPGs on Hwy.
