Aftermarket bumper with winch capabilities

Where is a good place to look for an affordable front bumper with winch capabilities. I've found one for $250 but it's not the most slightly. Everything seems to be in the price of $400+. Is that true or should I be finding cheaper?

The Barricade Front Bumper is one of the highest quality, reasonably price winch bumpers we offer and it's in the $400 range. There are a few stubby Front Bumpers at are a little cheaper with winch mounts on them.

The higher quality bumpers are 5/32" or 3/16" steel and will have mounts for D-ring to make recovery easier. If you find something you like let me know and I can get you a quote!

There's also the option of adding the Winch Mounting Plate for 07-13 Jeep JK Wrangler [1162] | Rough Country Suspension Systems to your stock bumper. I think others make something similar as well.

For what it's worth, I was debating between two options: buying a winch plate that was compatible with the factory bumper, then upgrading the bumper at a later date, or buying a modular bumper like the Rugged Ridge All Terrain Modular Front Bumper 11542.02 (07-14 Wrangler JK) - Free Shipping | Free Shipping and piecing it together as I determine my needs. Although, that Barricade bumper does look like pretty much everything I was looking for...

orfab stubby. cheap, effective. Non-winch version allows winch plate on top and will not require a vacuum pump relocation kit. Winch version is also available but requires vacuum pump relocation kit.

Body Armor 4x4 has pretty inexpensive yet cool looking bumpers. List price is $379 for the front and $339 for the rear, but at Truckaddons I negotiated them down to $326 and $299. Nice value and close to your requested price range. The front bumper can accomodate a winch.

Yet there was a recent post with some cautionary info about their customer service and their tire swing for the rears. So if you're looking for more than bumpers I'd advise you to stay away from their products.

I love my body armor rear. Perfect fit, lighter-than-usual weight, looks great. just saying I'd trust buying more products from them.

You would have to add a Winch Plate to that bumper to allow it to accept a winch. It's the same winch plate that goes on the XRC Modular bumpers and it's Rugged Ridge part #11541.13. Let me know if you're interested in that bumper and winch plate, and I'll get you a quote!

I couldn't find a cheap bumper I liked, and I honestly didn't like most of the expensive bumpers either. I went a little crazy and got the Rugged Ridge XHD modular winch mount bumper, with the bolt on center hoop, and kept it stubby.

Bumper: Rugged Ridge 11540.10 - Rugged Ridge Winch Mount Modular XHD Front Bumper in Textured Black for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec
Hoop: Rugged Ridge 11540.14 - Rugged Ridge Modular XHD Front Bumper Center Hoop in Textured Black for 76-14 Jeep® CJ-5, CJ-7, CJ-8 Scrambler, Wrangler YJ, TJ, JK & Unlimited - Quadratec

I put a quadratec winch on it though since they had a decent sale going on if you bought the bumper and winch together.

Also, this particular bumper is designed to mount your factory fog lights into. My jeep didn't have factory fog lights, so i bought a kit to add them (with the switch built into the turn signal lever). Pretty sweet.

It also includes the vacuum pump relocation kit for you guys with newer jeeps. By the way, I didn't need the vacuum pump relocation kit, I'd totally sell it. I don't know if it'll work with other bumpers though.......

I'm sorry it's not cheap but sometimes it's worth it to spend a little more.

So what would the pricing difference be for the rough country hybrid stubby compared to the rugged ridge + winch plate?

The Rough Country Hybrid Stubby would definitely be the less expensive option. That bumper lists for $190 and I can get you a discount off of that because you're a forum member. The Rugged Ridge Bumper and Winch Plate would come out to around $500 for both pieces before the discount. Let me know if you're interested in either option and I'll put a quote together for you!

thats a nice looking bumper, but no d-rings. But you could put the d-rings from the XHD on it with no modifications it looks like. Probably wouldnt cost much more.

The winch plate is integrated. It's not an option.
