Am I crazy or this normal?

Today was the day I removed my roll bar padding and turn it from faded purple, back to a shinny black with 2 cans of spray paint. Once I removed, I saw this on the back half of it. Does not look like primer, as the "mud green" color also has the metallic flaking like my Metallic Granite Crystal paint. Am I wrong here? 2016 JKU

I have had 4 jks and all the roll bars were that color. Seems odd but it is normal.

I must of had a rogue robot or a Jeep artist do mine. My roll bar matches the body

FWIW, the roll bars on my Billet Silver 2016 JK also match the body color.

I like the look of no padding on em. Just have to hide the wiring. I may buy a couple spray cans and match it all up once my padding fades in the future. If I dont like, ill just spray paint my padding again and put them back on
