Any lifehacks to fix scratched JW speaker 8700 J's

Anyone have any good lifehacks to fix severely scratched JW speaker 8700J's? When my dealer did a grill swap his apprentice absolutely thrashed both lights. The pictures don't do it justice. Aside from demanding the dealer replace them anyone ever had this problem and did you live with it or is there a fix? Now I know common sense says make the dealer replace them but frankly I've had so many problems with this place I simply don't trust them with my jeep. Every time their fix for things has led to more problems. So I'm staying away.

I'd have the dealer replace them. Once they get scratched their scratched. I don't know anyone who has any luck getting scratches off the lens once it happens.

Getting the scratches out can be accomplished by wet sanding then buffing. The lenses are plastic, so you can eventually get the scratches out, but getting them to look absolutely perfect is going to be tough even for a professional. No offense meant, but if you had the dealer do a grille swap, then sanding & buffing the lenses is probably outside of your skill level. No quick & easy lifehack to fix them.

Just have the dealer buy you a new set, then give them back the scratched set after they are swapped out by someone competent. If you are anywhere near me (north central CT), I'll help you. It's a simple job.

Plexus plastic protector and shine may get that out or at least make it look better. That's what I use on my plastic windows and have put it on the headlight lens and I have JW speakers but no scratches.

What kind of idiot can't replace a JK grill without scratching a headlight? Seriously, can it get any easier?

My thoughts exactly. Changing out the grill was no problem but I had him have his paint and body vendor put a finish on it so they swapped it out as a courtesy during a stereo upgrade. Well the paint job sucks even after we had him take it back and re-do it. long story short, the paint job is garbage, and in the course of swapping it during the paint and body work they scratched my JW's to hell. Hes agreed to replace the JW's and refund me for the awful grill so I guess it all worked out in the end.

Unacceptable, you should have raised hell when you noticed it at the dealer. The dealer should pay but the fact you didn't bring it up at the time of getting your Jeep back they most likely will deny any responsibility.

The dealer made it right so that's the best one can ask for.

The headlights are so expensive to replace, if you complain to the dealer that poor kid who made the mistake will probably get fired. Id just try to polish em out, Any decent body shop can do it too. Give the kid a break Id say. Karma will be on your side
