They are Mickey Thompson's entry into the hybrid AT/MT new generation tires like the Duratrac and KO2. The ATZ's had a relative soft ride and great floatation. The tread on the sidewall makes them slightly noisier than other ATs but the trend which they started of wrapping the tread over the shoulder is now pretty popular. This means you don't have to go with a high void ratio MT tread to gain most of the benefits. The big exception is sticky mud where there is no substitute for a deep high void ratio tread.

I had a couple sets of the original ATZ's and have driven the P3s and they don't feel much different on the road but they definitely grip better off road on turns than the original ATZs.

Just got these tires on saturday. They are quiet on road. Havent tried them offroad yet. But they look aggressive. Very nice looking tires.
