Back Country vs Freedom Suspension?

Looking to replace our totaled Black Bear and have located a Freedom Edition and a Back Country Edition. One of the differences listed on Jeep.com is that the Back County comes with Heavy Duty suspension. I crawled under both and they have the exact same springs and shocks?

The springs were 17/59 front/rear on both. The Heavy Duty springs I put on my Black Bear were 19/60.
Is there really supposed to be a difference in the suspension, if so, what is it?

Also when I build on Jeep.com & select body colored hard top it says I have to select dual top option, but the one I'm looking at has the body colored top but not dual tops?

Thanks

I believe there are two types of tow package you can get and one is a heavy duty I believe. I think it comes with different gear oil. Maybe that's the heavy duty "suspension"?

Any other ideas on the Back Country shocks vs the other models? I'll be swapping the stock 17/59 front & rear springs with 19/60. I also have the red Rubicon shocks that I removed from by Black Bear. I'm assuming these will be heavier duty than the Back Country?

I think the Back Country has a rear locker available. But the suspension isn't special, no.

The springs are graded usually by option package and not by model. Dual top tow package generally get the heavier springs.
Shocks are premium RED gas shocks on Rubicon.
premium BLACK gas shocks on Sahara.
Regular std duty black shocks on all else.

Springs are a bit of a crap-shoot on all but the rubi. Typically hard top non-rubi 4 doors will get higher numbered springs, but that varies a bit too. Sahara, WW, Sport, like I said everything except the rubi, which gets the higher springs period.

Is there any difference between the premium black shocks of the Sahara & the premium red shocks of the Rubicon? I've got a set of the red that I'm planning to throw on the new Back Country.

We were going to go with a granite Crystal Back Country but have changed our minds and plan to go with a Hydro Blue instead.

The Granite Crystal didn't have a tow package but the Freedom had the max tow package. Both had 17 springs in the front & 59 in the rear. I didn't check the Hydro Blue springs, but it does have the max tow pkg, so I'll take a look under there tomorrow.

I plan to put the 19 front & 60 rear I have on it along with the set of red Rubicon shocks.

That is incorrect. I have pulled springs from Rubis that are softer then my Sahara. It depends on the options.

Black Sahara shocks and Red Rubi shocks are valved differently. The red Rubi shocks are a bit stiffer ride.
So realistically it is pointless to swap Sahara shocks for Rubi shocks. Same quality slightly different ride. But definitely worth swapping out Sport shocks.

It is a crap-shoot. I have a Sport S. No tow package. Did come with a hard top from the factory, though (4 door). Came with springs just under the max. I've helped with a few Rubi's and seen every one of them on (17/59 or 18/60), even 2 doors. Many threads here about that as well...especially on the non-rubi's getting all kinds of variations.
