Backup Camera Troubleshooting

If anyone has any guidance, I would really appreciate it.

I recently installed a MyGig Lockpick v5 into my 2015 JKUR with a 430 RBZ radio. I also installed a flush mount backup camera in my rear bumper. The backup camera is connected to the lockpick via a 5m video and power extension cable.

Whenever I turn on the Jeep and view the video, everything looks fine initially. When I hit about 45mph, the camera starts exhibiting periodic interference and complete signal drops on a 2-3 second interval. The strange thing that has me confused is the fact that the image will not go back to normal until I turn the Jeep off, even if I reduce speed or park. This has me thinking that there must be some crosstalk from something in the Jeep's electronics, but I can't think what it might be.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar or does anyone know what might be unique to that speed threshold?

Sorry, no clue as to what is going on.

I usually don't keep my rear camera on (Mine is set up for reverse only). I've run turned it on while driving on the highway and I didn't have any problems. I do have another camera set up that is on all the the time (babycam), and I don't have any problems what that at speed.

I also have a baby camera set up that does not have any issues at speed. I will not ordinarily be using the backup camera except in reverse, but this interference with the backup camera sticks around until I turn the car off, which I imagine will become somewhat annoying when I use it on trails after driving and not turning the car off in between reverses.

Had a very similar problem with my 430n and lockpick. It wound up being the cheap RCA cable the back up camera came with. I bought a more expensive one with gold terminals. Not another problem. Its been 2 months.

Thanks for the info. I have a suspicion that it may be due to the [excessive] length of the RCA cable I installed, but it is odd to me that it seems to be tied to the speed of the vehicle. I'll try to swap some cables around to see if that helps.

I wound up getting a shorter one too. 10ft I think? Much thicker.
