Bag Cam Phasers and A Big Trip

I've got a 2014 Rubicon with 75K miles and bad cam phasers. Chrysler has these back ordered until November, which is kind of insane with millions of these engines on the road. It's in the shop taken apart now and covered under the 100K drive train warranty, but they're getting ready to button it back up and send me on my way without fixing it.

In three weeks I have a 7,000 mile trip planned through Mexico and Central America and I want to avoid the "sunk cost fallacy," in which I do stupid things because I've already spent a lot of money getting there.

My question in case anyone knows, is if they expect any long term damage from driving it like it is or if they think it's likely to fail anytime soon. It currently idles a little roughly and nearly stalls once when first started. It's been this way for a couple months now already, and I've been trying to diagnose it by changing sensors for about a year.

Also, if anyone has advice on how to obtain this part or convince them to help me by hunting for a used one, I would appreciate it. I've been patient with this vehicle but I'm starting to lose faith in its reliability after many repairs.
