can I install the factory 18 camera on my 17

Hello all I am new to jeeps last year. I traded my 17 anniversary cherokee in for a demo 17 Sahara with a factory lift kit and 20" wheels and tires. it has nav and pretty much all you can get I think, but would like the camera used on the 18 rubicon package. I asked the salesman he didn't know, can I install that 18 unit that fits in the center of the spare to work?

there is no factory lift kit. you can get a variety of cameras that mount to the center of the spare. AEV has a kit and so does brandmotion to name a couple.

2018 Gobi Recon unlimited W/Mopar 2" lift coils combined with RK rear coils wedges, TF lower control arms, rear TF monster track bar and rear track bar bracket and Falcon 3.1 shocks, Cooper ST Maxx 315/75-17 on AEV Salta rims, Grabars, RE gas skid tank, mopar head liner, Warn VR10 and Maximus3 winch plate.

He’s probably talking about the Mopar Lift Kit (which technically would be a “Factory” Lift Kit)...
OP - You can search though the threads here on many different options for rear view camera installation. Some require reflash of the Jeep’s system, others do not...

There's no factory JK camera, anything you saw would be aftermarket.

Yes Big Foot mopar lift, Jt it was a JL Rubicon and the 18 wrangler also has a camera in the spare but its a little different than the Rubicon. I was hoping it would work on mine. my aftermarket guy didn't know about these cameras that mount in the spare tire bracket thats on it at my dealership. wanted to see if anyone has done this
I will search the threads Thanks
