Centramatic Balancers

Hey Guys.
I noticed a post about centramatic balances in another thread and was curious. I took a look at their website, they actually look like they may work. It doesn't look like they fit JKs though. Would they fit with aftermarket wheels? Or is it a fitment issue with a front or rear caliper?

They are common on 18-wheelers and other commercial cargo vehicles. The issue is the wheel lug pattern. As you noted they are not available for the JK's 5 on 5" bolt pattern without an adapter.

I emailed them aways back. There's clearance issues on a JK. I forget the specifics.

I have them on the front wheels of my semi and they work great, another option that works the same way (but more work) is to use lead shot inside the tires, used to use this in semi tires as well but we used to put about 20 oz of it in them you wouldn't need as much on a smaller tire.

I run them on my TJ. If you check my build thread, last 2 pages I think, I give a review with new unbalanced tires & Beadlocks!
Awesome!!!

Got an email back from centramatic. They don't have them for the JKs because of clearance issues with the calipers. Too bad they don't stamp an offset into the centre section of the mounting plate. At least you'd be able to use them with aftermarket wheels.

Are those drilled 5x4.5 and 5x5? Looks like a pair does have an offset stamped into the plate. I'm wondering if I could get a set to fit on the rear only. I feel a slight vibration from the rear when the tires are cold. It does get better after they warm up, so maybe not even a balance issue. I think I'll pull a wheel, take some pics and give them a call.

I ran them on my Ford SuperDuty F350 and I run them on my '12 Harley Ultra Classic. They're great! I WISH I could run on my JK.
