Clock Spring, has it been improved?

Getting ready to leave for Moab and naturally the clock spring on my '09 JKUR decided to fail. To get one quickly I had to pop retail at the local dealer. Installed it yesterday with no real issues. When I pulled (yanked) on the wheel to get it off the steering shaft the old clock spring came apart, bits flying everywhere. So, wasn't able to do much of an A/B with the new one. Has the unit been upgraded in any way? Looks a little different than the old one.

Jeeps: Where my 401(k) went to die!

This is the most updated part # MOPAR (5156106AD) - Clockspring. Usually if a part # goes from an AA to AD suffix it's been improved.
