Arrow Damaged Bumper

Hey everyone,

I'm Dan, new member here! I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. Unfortuntely, someone hit my front end and I am left with a dented front bumper and damaged right front fender. The right side of the bumper is pretty bent back, it's like 2inches away from the tire now but does not rub when I turn my tires.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and if I should bother trying to get it fixed or buy a new bumper? If I'm going for the new route, any suggestions what kind I should buy/ where?

I live in the GTA.

Thanks!

Go ahead and get the first mod done. Bumpers are a good one. I have a Warn elite on one of mine and the smittybilt Atlas on the other. Really like both of them.

I can't see your picture but if the damage to your bumper is just on the end, you're in luck. This happened to me and with the vdp end cap conversion, my stock bumper looks better than the original. Of course you can get a new, badass front bumper but if funds are tight and you don't have much to spend, this is a cheap fix that will actually enhance the look of your jeep.

VDP STUBBY END CAP CONVERSION:
Vertically Driven Products Stubby End Cap Kit for 07-16 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK with Factory Plastic Front Bumper | Quadratec

VDP HIGH CLEARANCE END CAP CONVERSION:
Vertically Driven Full Width High Clearance End Cap Conversion Kit for 07-16 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK with Factory Plastic Front Bumper | Quadratec

THIS IS JUST ONE THREAD DISCUSSING THESE END CAPS:

Around here so many jeeps upgrade their bumpers with aftermarket, stock bumpers are almost given away.

Hey, I just added a few dropbox links for the damage. Let me know what you think.

I think the center piece is mangled too though looks dented upwards.

Yeah I can see from the reflection in your grill that the center piece is also damaged. The VDP end caps will not help you.

Was the other driver at fault? Did you get the insurance company involved? If so then you are due $ for the damages. You can use it however you want so might be a good time to get a nice aftermarket bumper and winch...or like others said, a used oem bumper off craig's list and then use the $ for other things.

When I was hit, the end of my bumper was damaged, driver's side fender had a minor scuff, side marker light broken, and a couple little scratches in the hood. I was cut a check for $1300 from her insurance company which included the bumper, fender and painting the hood. All I did was install the stubby end caps and replaced the side marker to the tune of about $80 in parts. That 1300 got me 5 315/70/17 Duratracs woohoo!

I bought a bumper and cover for $50, Never got it installed and ended up replacing it with a barricade. Keep you eyes on eBay and you can get them for under $250. Now I can't even give the old one away.

I wish some of you who are giving away or selling your stock bumpers at very low prices were closer to the St. Louis area when I needed a replacement front bumper a few years ago. I ended up buying one that was practically new off CL for $200, although that included the brackets and fog lights.

It was either that or a new one from the dealer for about $500, which did not include the extra hardware.

Damaged my front bumper on my new JKU on a trail ride. Been looking for one on Craigslist and here. I found 10 on Craigslist for short money but they are all dented or scratched. All the ones here are so far away, shipping seems to be too much of an issue.
