2008 Rubicon. problem has been going on for about a year. Jeep will not start occasionally. Dealer replaced battery, put in two new starters, tightened ground wires, don't know which ones. Went to dealer to pick up wife's new Jeep and Wrangler would not start. Left Wrangler for about a week, dealer said no codes were showing up. Jeep does start after about 8-10 times turning key to start.
I bought a lifetime warranty when Jeep was new in 2008. Dealer says they can't keep replacing parts because she starts at dealer and no codes show up and insurance will not pay if they keep guessing and keep replacing parts. She would not start in garage or a few parking lots until I cranked her numerous times and she finally started. I think it might be something electrical since when I turn the key it just goes "click". Wrangler has been to dealer at least four times. Still same problem. With winter coming in Michigan, don't want to be stuck someplace. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also any suggestion on trying to start her if she won't start would be helpful.

Thanks.

Could it be the key? Are all fuses secure and good, maybe one is loose? We had to tow a Jeep off a trail because of a 50 cent fuse once when it wouldn't start.

It’s the engine ground. Run a 4gauge cable from your negative battery terminal to your alternator bracket.
I had to do the same on my 08 and daughters 09.

That is what fixed my problem too & it is very easy to do. On my 07 that what it was doing in 2011 and has been fine ever since I ran the new ground cable.
