Exclamation Dash lights and alert ding

My 2015 Wrangler Unlimited has started blinking and dinging at me while driving. While driving down the road and sometimes when i first start it, all the dash lights will blink, the alert will ding and the speedometer and RPM gauge will start falling toward zero. What is causing this? It happened a couple of times in my old jeep but stopped on its own.

Hi coachc10,
I know you are reaching out to your forum members for guidance; however, should you decide to have your dealer look into this further, feel free to send us a private message. We'd be happy to see if there is anything we can do on our end to assist.

Mine was a loose battery cable as well.. how is the connector not a pinch ? thats an odd design..

i got some Battery Post Shims.. the universal ones dont really fit.. but if you break it in half (very easy to do with no tools).. you can get the connector back on and never see the dash light up like that again

Agree with others check your connections. If it still does it after that have your battery checked. Mine still had the issue and my battery wasn't completely shot but not holding the full charge. Swapped it out and everything was fixed.

Ours was doing that after I installed a Rally Lights adapter box to run H4's. I attached the ground to the battery and didn't notice that the bolt was beveled. Moved the ground to the body and no more issues.

Hmmm

Hopefully you guys are right. It is throwing these codes. B210B, U0184, U1408, U1412, and P2504. The auto parts guy looked them up and said most link back to possible CAN Bus issue. I am not very automotive inclined. This is like trying to speak German for the first time ever with no German classes. I had my battery cables but it still is doing it but worse now.

Hi coahcc10,
If you are unable to remedy this yourself and decide to have your dealer look into this, we can connect you with a Case Specialist. This Case Specialist will work with you and your dealer towards a resolution. I hope this provides some clarification.

But what’s the benefit of the case specialist? Something beyond what the dealer can do?

Hi coachc10,
Your Case Specialist stays in contact with you and your dealer to ensure you are in the loop as well as keep everything documented. They can also help you explore other avenues, such as a second opinion, if needed.
