Question Differential gears ID

Hi everyone,
So I bought a used '08 JKU Shara. I already have the build sheet, so I know what gears it came with. The rear cover has a lot of excess "sealer" around the cover. It also came with a 2 1/2-3" (?) lift, so I know someone has been working on it. My question is, how do i figure out if the gearing is what is still in it after 2 previous owners.
Thanks

Jack up the rear axle if you have stands. Mark a point on the inside of the tire and on the drive shaft. Count how many times it takes to turn the drive shaft per one revolution of the tire. Examples would be 3 & 3/4 drive shaft turns for one tire turn = 3.73s. 4 & 1/2 turns = 4.56.

If you have an open diff, you can jack up only one side then count the driveshaft turns to turn the tire 2 times.

Dr Obbins, thank you!
I thought there would be a easy way to figure it out.
