Angry ? elecrtical issue

My 2012 jeep was not driven for 6 days while I was out of town . It started up , stopped to get gas and it would not start afterwards . It made no noise , no lights or radio. After quite a few tries , able to start with jump but then lights dim , several flashing warning lights on dash and speedometer gauge not moving . I think it is possessed ! I did manage to get home but of course it will not start this morning , no lights or door chime . I did notice a ticking sound from engine for several minutes after trying to start it . Any suggestions?? I have not had any trouble to this point .

Bad battery or loos battery connection. Start easy stuff first.

Check the connections and volt/load test the battery. OEM batteries usually will only last approx. 3 yrs. On a 2012 I would replace it anyway. The symptoms you experienced are typical of either a bad battery, loose connections or both.

Agreed you're really at the end of the service life of the battery. I would change it for piece of mind in the future even if you were able to get jumped off. Due to the level of computer control in the vehicle they can not handle even slight voltage drops or spikes during operation. Normally on these batteries when they go they go not get progressively weaker over time ect.
