Fitting a 09 Hard Top on a 2013 jk

Thanks for any help in advance. As far as I know the 09 Hard Top Freedom Panels don't align with the 2013 wranglers latch and bracket, correct? From what I read I can move the latches or bracket to make it fit ? That's all I have to do to make it work?

Thanks

The latches were only different on the early models. There are some styling differences like the window sizes but it will work just fine.

Not 100% sure but the new top I just got had an alignment pin that my 08 top did not. The center footman loop on the windshield is in a slightly different location also not sure if that will be an issue. Everything else like bolt holes lines up. also the wiring and washer fluid required an adapter to fit. Washer is no big deal since the earlier tops just have a nipple the hose goes on, not sure exactly what the difference is for the plug since the body shop did the install.

The 09 was the first year of the forward freedom panel latch using the footman loop. You will be fine. And it is a direct swap , no adapters needed. The missus 09 has a 14 top on it. The 14 top has a couple of alignment pins on it that have to be removed to fit the tub.

07 and 08 were the years where the footman loop was more centered. And the front freedom panel latch was behind the loop.

08 top..

'14 top...
