Fox 2.0 bds shocks on 2.5" lift.

I found a cheap set of shocks off a jku with a 4.5" short arm lift, I was wondering if they would work on my 2.5" lift or will they be to long? I do plan on going from my current 2.5" coil spacer lift to a 3" lift with coil springs at some point.
