Front axle pinion yoke

Hey, I was installing a Tom Woods front drive shaft on my 2013 Jeep JK and removed the old yoke and installed the yoke that came with the Tom Woods shaft.
then I noticed that the new yoke doesn't have the piece that covers the pinion seal. Is that something that I should get or does the one on the stock flange come off to transfer to the new one, it looks like the seal could get damaged if it's not there, Thanks

That flange comes off really easily, just a few light taps with a mallet. If it fits I would think you would want it. It is just a dust shield keeps the crap out of the inside of the pinion seal.
