Front End Wobble

I have a 12 Wrangler sport 20,000 miles with no mods. When I hit a bridge expansion joint I feel a split second wobble in the steering wheel and in my feet. So many people are telling me to check different areas of the front end, so I thought I would toss it out here and see what advice I can get.

Are you running 35psi in all your tires? If you are higher than that, I could see them "bouncing" when you hit something like this. It may not be the issue, but if it is, it would certainly be the easiest fix.
