Going to Canada with modded Jeeps

Anyone have an issue at the boarder going into Canada with their modified Jeeps?
Lifted, larger tires that are wider than the flairs, no mud flaps, super stubby front bumper, etc?

Your talking about my jeep and I cross the boarder all the time back and forth at Fort Erie no problems.

I have no issues here the opposite way either. Going from Canada to US.

Here in Ontario it's pretty relaxed. I see 4x4's all the time with the entire tire sticking out from the fenders and have never seen them get pulled over and when ever I've hit a spot check the police just say nice Jeep and nothing about my mods.

If may depend on what province you are heading into but I can tell you that at least 40% of the population in Alberta drives lifted 3/4 ton diesel trucks and lift Jeeps. Very common around here.

Just came back to Alberta from Montana this morning and they never said anything, I've crossed a few times and never had a problem going North or South.

Only got pulled over once in Alberta, but that was in a 1 1/4 ton chevy with 14" of lift and 44's, they told me I should put mudflaps on, still didn't ticket me.

I'm going into BC, Vancouver exactly. Just didn't want to get turned away at the border, since this is a business trip.

I live in Vancouver, and it shouldn't be a problem crossing the boarder. You might get a warning at a traffic stop depending on which city you are in. Some cops might take notice to extra tire sticking out without mud flaps.

If your rig is covered in mud, dont try and cross the border. Someone from our group was turned around and had to go wash their rig before they could come back across. Apparently there are some sort of fines they could have been charged with too. Not sure which though

Its something to do with soil contamination. I guess they dont want our grass to start calling pop, soda.

But only if it is Yankee grass, true southern grass would call it coke, regardless of which brand it was.
