Hard Rock Edition Hood Vents

A popular subject with the Hard Rock hoods, but does anyone know if someone makes replacement Hood Vents that are functional? I have seen DIY videos to make them functional, but it would be nice to have a finished option that I wont accidentally break while modding thin plastic.

I didn't cut out the entire section, which in most cases that I saw looked very unfinished. I used a hole saw to cut a hole over each of the vents, not quite as much air flow, but not much chance of messing them up either.

You can get new replacement ones from the dealer so why not take the chance and cut it out yourself.

I did mine and traced out with a sharpie how I wanted it cut while it was still in place then I removed them and started with making a smaller hole with the dremel and then I enlarged it to the lines once I was comfortable with the cutting process, at the end I just got some sand paper to smooth out the edges of the cut.

Once I put them back in place I got a exacto razor blade and cut out the under hood felt so it wouldn't cause a restriction in air flow.

turned out well

Scariest part was unsnapping the vents from the hood with out breaking the plastic snaps

Give it a shot..... You can do it......

Qudratec is the cheapest place I found when I replaced my hail damaged hood with a 10a
