Hard to start after stalling

I searched the threads and didn't find anything, so here goes
If I stall my '09 (6speed manual) it doesn't like to start back up (turns over but no start). I found that if I hold down the gas pedal part way it'll start up. When it does, it revs up from the excess gas. Does anyone have any idea why it would not want to start without holding down on the gas pedal?

If you stall most fuel injected engines, that's the correct way to re-start it. Actually, holding the pedal to the floor is the recommended way so you pretty much started it correctly in that type of situation. Holding the pedal to the floor signals the computer that you're in a flooded situation which could be as a result of the stall. The same applies for a carb'd vehicle.
