HVAC help with control head, I am confuzzled....

Ok, I got the newest revision (55111155ai, as of 5/9/2019 (or some day with in May)) and I am a bit baffled, I got every thing hooked up, and ran the Jeep for it to go through its calibration modes, with obligatory blinking orange light which went away, every thing tested good, (true test will be when I go back to the Jeep later to confirm loss of settings issue was resolved) however after its calibration I went through each setting and all seem to work however the floor/vent setting does not, and on floor only a tiny amount of air can be felt through the defrost vent, other then that all seems to work properly, but the previous head unit also had similar issues (along with loosing its settings every time i left the jeep alone), my current iteration is Rev AI (again as of May 2019) so I am a tad stumped here, do I need to go to the Jeep service dept and have them reprogram it or something, or is something else going on here?

Is this a non automatic climate control unit? If you have the same issues as your other controller, sounds like the actuators are the culprit.

correct, this is the unit that has no markings on the buttons other then the fan speed blocks, the red and blue blocks, and the vent position blocks, if needed I can take a picture of the unit, I also needed to replace it anyways as one of the lights was starting to fail so it was not a wasted effort thankfully....

I had originally the REV: AE, but now I am using the REV: AI.....

would you suggest I replace the other two actuators (I already proactively replaced the one behind the glove box)

Check to see if they move freely. Sometimes they get cruddy. I haven’t looked at mine, so no idea how to diagnose.

My wife’s JKU has issues with her automatic climate control and hoping the actuators are ok. Seeing as it does really random things, I’ll start with the controller and see what happens.

mine was originally loosing all settings so that is why I replaced it, didn't hurt to anyways....

I have the climate temp number one and I get the blinking light. But everything always works correctly when it's done. So I leave it alone and just put up with it. I have thought of replacing the head but don't want to make things worse and I am not sure things would be fixed, no blinking. So Do I replace it or leave it.

up to you, mine however was showing signs of beginning to fail (never retained any settings and always took at least a minute to "reset" and kick on, this one however seems to be much faster at kicking on, but I am going to replace the actuators and then take it to the local service Depo and have them check all the programming and reflash it if required to ensure proper operation.

Based on current behaviors at least two issues were resolved, however replacing the actuators (and if able cleaning out the blend door(s) as well) might and should correct the issue with air venting out of incorrect vents at times, but keep in mind I am looking at it from the common sense point of view, if i'm already replacing one thing I might as well replace other parts to get a good solid fix, and not just a partial fix.

oh after some monitoring and testing, it seems I still get the blinking orange light (I guess it means it is self calibrating) so that may be a sign something else is going on, however once it is done with calibration it does turn on the air much quicker so now it is onto replacing the fuse M11 (IIRC?) to see if that will help, and if not take it to the service dept and see if it needs a reflash of some sort
