Improper Gear Selector code? Help!

Went wheeling today. No incidents, lotsa dirty water and some mud.. now my check engine light is on. Code is for improper gear selection or something but I can't get out of automatic, I have that thing where you can have manual or automatic, my gears won't shift properly and my "Eco" indicator doesn't come on. Got up to 100 on the Hwy and was at over 3000 rpms. It won't go into 5th? Also revs high when starting from a stop. Have washed underneath with the high pressure spray at the self wash. Ideas?

Cleared the codes. Now I have one code. improper gear ratio. Now, when I got my 33's in March, a friend used a Flashcal to program my speedo for that tire size. apparently while mudding yesterday the computer and the wheels had a fight and the computer put me into limp mode. One dealership tells me that they cannot overwrite what the flash cal wrote to take me back to factory software. Does anyone know if that is correct? Can't use the flashcal because it got stolen. It's gone. I find it hard to believe that the dealership can't erase and install original software.. anyone have any idea?

If the Flashcal was used in another vehicle was it unlocked from the vin before your programming was done? Regardless, the dealer Starscan programmer should have no problem overriding the Flashcal.

The dealer tells me that the computer can't be reset. Can't go back, only forward. Are they right?

I would try another dealer. The information that I'm getting indicates that the Starscan can re-set the programming to factory tire sizes. It sounds like something else could have caused the problem, but since there's only one code the dealer should be able to diagnose it. You can also contact Superchips and provide their tech support with the info. that you mentioned. Maybe at this point they could be more helpful than the dealer.
