Most likely not the frame. Have you contacted your insurance ?

Were you cited ?

Hard to say without seeing the other vehicle to see what parts of your vehicle contacted what parts of theirs. Downside to aftermarket bumper is no impact absorption, all the energy is transferred directly into the frame, meaning frame damage is more likely than with an impact absorbing bumper. I'm betting there's a good chance that it is just a bent suspension component(s). Bent suspension would throw off alignment causing a vibration and the traction control light.

Most importantly - don't drive it until you figure out what's damaged. Bent frame or damaged suspension could have a serious adverse affect on handling, especially in an emergency maneuver. You could also just be driving down the road and hit a bump or make a turn and have a catastrophic failure causing a lot more damage or hurting someone else.

Hope it's something simple.

Only a certified collision repair shop is going to be able to answer your question accurately.

My God, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope everyone gets better and your Jeep is fixed properly.

I hope the injuries to your wife are not serious.

Although some of the damage you describe could indicate a bent frame, it could be a series of other issues. As Kik indicate, only a body shop can diagnose it with certainty.

Hey guys,

The jeep ended up having Frame damage, bent motor mounts and a few other steering problems. They are still fixing it, I just wanted your opinion on if you guys think I'm going to have problems down the road. I am thinking about trading it in when I get it back from the shop. The jeep is a 2011 with 50k
Any ideas thanks

It will not be worth as much now that your frame has been repaired.

Sorry to hear about pets and wife. Hope everyone recovers.

Did any of your air bags go off?
What's the dent from? Did your wife hit the dash?

Well, the good thing about a real frame is that it can be put on a rack and laser corrected back to spec. As long as they replace all the damaged parts I doubt you'll have any future issues.

Up to you though. I'd keep it for a little while and see how it drove. Might also consider going after the other persons insurance for diminished value. They should cut you a check for a few grand.

So now after the body was fixed, the jeep was on the frame rack for a week. I got it back last week it was vibrating so I took it back and NOW it needs new motor mounts. I'm just wondering if that's a huge deal or not does any body have and Idea
