JK Fender Flare Question

Hey all,
I wanted to see what my 2015 JK looked like without the front fender flares so I took one side off, only to find a metal "beam" protruding over the wheel. It's one of the spots where the flares bolt into. I was wondering if/how you could remove this. I watched some fender flare removal videos but all the ones I saw didn't bother to address this. Thanks!

It's only there to support the fender. I replaced my fenders after removal so I didn't look too close. If it doesn't unbolt then cut it off if you don't want it.

A Sawzall or cutoff wheel will make short work of it.

But most aftermarket fenders use it as a support and/or attachment point. So taking it off will make it more difficult to attach anything that uses the bracket.

Ace just came out with a fender flare delete kit that does address it (you cut it off) Check out the kit, it caused me to reconsider my flare options

I left mine alone after putting am flares on. I'll most likely paint it black, so that it can be returned to stock of need be.

I don't want to start cutting things off yet, so I guess I'll just go back to the stock flares
But, thanks for the help!

How do you go back to stock. Don't you destroy the clips when removing?

You will destroy a lot if the clips. Buy more and reinstall.
