So I visited my in-laws just south of Savannah, GA. I left the doors off on a beautiful night. Unfortunately I didn't account for nearby sprinklers and tree frogs. The tree frogs did crawl in, but are not much of a problem, what is a problem though is that I probably took on a few gallons of water on the drivers side from an unexpected sprinkler that turned on overnight. I drained the excess and removed the front drivers side carpet, but need to remove the back carpet.
My question is this: The carpet seems to be "scored" behind the rear seat posts. But unless I expand this scoring with a knife, I'll need to unbolt the seats. Are there any downsides to expanding the scoring to allow for unfettered removal, without having to unbolt the seats, or is that scoring important?
