Keyless Remote Not Working

From time to time the Fob for my 2015 JKU acts as if the battery is dead, even though it isn't. I've tested the battery and it is fine, even replaced it with a new battery several times. It's really annoying when it happens and there seems to be no pattern. The last time it happened I was at a shopping center parking lot, had to manually unlock my door and of course the alarm then went off, so I had to start the vehicle to get it to stop. There is no point in taking it to the dealership because it happens so randomly that I'm sure it won't happen for them.

Anyone else having this issue and is there a fix?

And when I called the dealership about it, they of course never heard of this issue before.

I still have this issue. I've replaced the battery at least 3 times in the FOB and even tried using the spare, nothing fixes it. Others have had this issue and yet dealerships and Jeep know nothing about it.

I've noticed that the battery contacts tend to get bent a little downward when pressing the buttons too hard. I have had a contact bend enough so that it loses its connection with the pc board.

I thought that might have been it too, but even when I bent them back it didn't fix the issue. I'll try doing it again and not press the buttons too hard.

Okay so I've been extremely careful pressing the buttons on my key FOB and thought maybe the bent battery contacts were the cause of the problem. But then the FOB stopped working again, even the spare key didn't work and both had new batteries. I've tried calling different dealerships to see if anyone has heard of this issue and what the fix might be. But of course none heard of it before. This is getting so annoying!

There are some threads that talk about a fuse under the hood being partially out (provides constant power to some devices). Others have had issues with the wireless unit in the Jeep. Do you have access to a code reader? With appcar, I can see the error codes and that helps troubleshoot.

Yes I do. What codes would show for this issue?

Holy crap this horrible, someone please help this poor man.

For those of you that think I'm maybe being sarcastic, I'm not. Remote start is life

That being said...

Sounds like its the receiving module on the jeep. Hope you find a solution.

Following. Since my 2015 just started acting up. Worked fine with no issues until I replaced the 430 radio with a pioneer. Now I'm lucky to get 10 ft. Sometimes. Other times it'll work from 100ft. Never consistent. Both Fobs. And both have new batteries.

Just an update, when I was at the dealership I told them about this issue and they kept insisting it was a key FOB battery issue. Didn't seem to matter that I told them over and over I have replaced the batteries at least 10 times with news ones and yet the issue still occurs. I've checked the battery voltage each time and it was fine. I believe the receiving module is the problem but they've never heard of this issue and can't replicate it...so nothing gets fixed.

This gets annoying when my Jeep is locked and the only way I can get into it is by using the key, but then the alarm goes off until I start it. I've used a code reader and didn't find anything wrong.
