Lift Kit Install Quote - Is this overpriced?

Hey guys

Im sure many of you are familiar with the website Rubitrux.

Well their garage isnt too far from me (its in Boone NC) and i contacted them about installing a 3.5 inch AEV lift in my JKUR

They quoted 750$ for the install (doesnt include the cost of the kit of course).... This seems over priced to me, thoughts?

The quote sounds a little high. I'm having a teraflex 2.5" lift installed with AEV caster correction brackets, the total is $1350. The costs break down to about $450 for the install.
This is being done by a reputable 4wd shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Yeah, that sounds like the "We don't want to do it" price.

I hate to be the odd one out but most shops charge at least $100 an hour labor some more, you might be 100 bucks to high based on what four wheel parts charge me back in 2012 labor for 2 1/2 inch TeraFlex.

Need more info. Does your lift come with all 8 arms, the track bars, bump stops, springs, shocks, maybe longer brake lines? If so, then that price is probably right.

AEV uses stock control arms possibly with a high steer kit though.

Aev comes with Higjsteer which involves drilling the knuckle and another TB bracket.
$750 doesn't seem bad BUT why 3.5"?

I just installed(last week) an AEV 2.5" kit including GCB's n my son's JKUWW.
6hrs from jacking it up, to letting it down, this included a few breaks, and dozen taco bell soft tacos for lunch
We do have a shop complete with air tools ect.

That's right around but I would expect in this area for a somewhat complicated lift. This package is not just springs and shocks it's a little more involved than that.

The high steer, front link set up and reservoir shocks are going to add a bit to the install. Nice set ups and while I have heard over and over aev is not good off road I say those people have not jeered with them. My buddy has the 3.5" aev on his 12 jk cod and it does great. He had no issues on the rubicon trail or golden spike. maybe not ideal for koh but for what most of us do they are nice. There are a lot of nice other lifts out there as well.
