Lifting? 2.5 spring or BB (new)

2016 jku sport

OK so I know there's a bunch of topics about this already but I am still a little confused I'm mostly looking to list my jeep about 2.5 inches along with this I would probably do the 33 or 35 inch tires My main questions are.....

What kits are rated well ?
Do I need to change the suspension ?
I would love to keep the ride as close to stock as possible how do I do this ?
What is disconnect sway bar? And what does it do?
.do I need to change the gears?

In terms of gas mileage and how I will be using the jeep is my daily driver I'm mostly working to make it a double type vehicle because I would love to start looking into doing trails but also be able to get back-and-forth between work

I suggest reading the sticky the Beginners Guide to Lifting Your JK. As far as what kits are rated well, depends who you talk to. If you want to keep the whole jeep covered by the Jeep warranty, then you will need to go with the Mopar lift kit. Any lift is going to change the suspension. If you want to keep the suspension as close to stock as possible, then you will need to do a BB, without the new shocks.

The sway bar disconnect is just what it sounds like, it disconnects the sway bar. Disconnecting the sway bar allows for more articulation of the front end, allowing for better traction and control while on the trails.

As far as needing to change the gears, no you don't need to, but you may want to later.

If you are concerned about gas mileage, then just about any modifications you do is going to affect the mileage, probably towards to making it worse.

Remember J=Just, E=Empty, E=Every, P=Pocket.
