Light switch install - A-pillar disassembly, +12 volt ignition hot wire

Hey folks,

Can someone please tell me how to remove the interior molding on the driver side a-pillar to install switches as pictured below? (whoever this pic belongs to...thank you for the idea and for sharing your pic)

Also, can someone please confirm an ignition hot wire (+12V) close to the dash so I can connect my lighted switch/control an LED light bar relay and the best location to run through the firewall behind the passenger side dash?

I have a 2015 JKU...TIA!

You have to remove the sun visor and the screws on the upper pillar cover. Then the piece in question pulls off. There is a hole at the lower end of the a pillar. It is in a metal piece that has yellow spray foam in it. Poke a hole in the spray foam and it goes right to the engine bay. Just wire the relay to the battery. Then your jeep doesn't need to be on to run the light. It's just an LED, it can run for a bit and not kill your jeep. Although it has the potential. But a couple mins isn't a worry.
Google a wiring diagram for 12V relay and you will find pictures of it.
