Low beam out, high beam working?

Hi guys,

I have IPF JK headlights, I'm not a fan of them at all, it was the first mod i did to my jeep and definitely plan on replacing them eventually.

But recently on my right light, the low beam went out but the light still works on high beam. Is that a burnt out bulb or could it be a wiring problem?

Thanks for any advice.

Otzy

Chances are it's the bulb. You can swap the other one in and make sure.

Burnt out bulb. There are 2 filaments in the bulb. 1 Highbeam one lowbeam. One filament has burnt.

Weird, not sure if those are LED but I got a set of bulbs from lifetime LED that had the same problem. They told me they were made for a 07-10 and wouldn't work with 11. I didn't think that made sence but I dumped them anyway.

Not sure why you dislike the IPF JK headlights. I installed a set a year back with H4 bulbs and a separate headlight harness. Purchased the headlight housings used with H4 bulbs for $90 shipped and they work great.
