Mopar OAT coolant online?

Anyone know where to get Mopar OAT coolant online. I saw it on Amazon but says it ships in 1 to 2 months. Everywhere else has hoat which is wrong kind for 2015 jk.

I purchase the Mopar 50/50 Oat mix at my Jeep dealer. This way you are sure that you are getting the correct antifreeze. Plus, they normally have it in stock.

HOAT and OAT are not compatible!!!

I don't know where you looked on Amazon but they sell the OAT premixed with an estimated delivery date of March 17-21.

Mopar 10 Year/150,000 Mile Coolant Concentrate

MOPAR 68163849AA ANTIFREEZE

The full strength is just slightly more. You are basically getting the equivalent of two gallons of premixed.

Genuine Chrysler (68163848AA) Coolant Antifreeze

Thanks. I looked again late last night and saw. Don't know why when I originally searched I only got one where the delivery date was a month out. It's on the way.

Can you buy it at a NAPA or OReillys? Even the dealership will have it in stock.

I would much rather buy it online than have to walk into a store. Amazon has two day free shipping. Can't beat that as well as price.

I'm in a similar situation and will need some coolant for my 2015 JK as well. I'm on a road trip so online ordering is out of the question.

I would be looking for OAT 10yr/150k pre-diluted 50/50 right? No need to add anything, just pour in the reservoir? Thanks in advance

A quick check-in:
So we are currently in Asheville, NC as one of the stops on our road trip. I went into the Chrysler/Jeep/Mercedes dealership and ask for coolant for my 2015 JK. The parts guy hands me the Mopar 5/100 HOAT bottle. I knew right away that was not right, and told him all my sources states otherwise.

The scary part is that he turns his computer screen around to show me... And sure enough, it gives the wrong coolant type under 2015. I show him my manual and so he looked confused but went back and found the right one.

The only thing that didn't make sense was the 50/50 pre diluted gallon bottle was only $20. I thought I saw another thread saying it was somewhere around $50-60. Maybe that's the concentrate version?

I'm glad I looked it up ahead of time and found these threads ahead of time!

I'm not sure what the dealer charges for the OAT concentrate but it is available on Amazon for a little less than $26/gal.

Genuine Chrysler (68163848AA) Coolant Antifreeze

The scary part with that parts counter guy is that I'm sure many owners would never compare what the dealer sold them versus what it says in their manual and just pour in the wrong coolant. Apparently, the computer even has it wrong.

That was the old price when Mopar OAT first came out - originally it was being shipped from Europe.. Since then they've sourced this to a USA based supplier which has brought the prices down considerably.

Morris 4x4 center has the concentrate at one of the best cost online. They also have 50/50. It did take almost two weeks to get however.

My '14s owner's manual states to use MS-12106 spec coolant.

I have some of this for topping off.

Prestone Dex-coolant
property and performance specification requirements of Chrysler MS12106 (MS-7170 & MS-9769)

Regardless of what they say, it is a well known fact that the aftermarket coolants that say they work are not compatible with the OAT coolant - and only OAT coolant from MOPAR should be used.

Actually this is NOT true for ALL aftermarket coolants:

Maybe not, but the Prestone DexCool linked in his post does not seem to meet the same specs as Zerex DexCool, and isn't really a proper replacement for HOAT.
But it is a free country, use the right coolant or the wrong coolant. It is your choice.

I don't know where you see Prestone DexCool linked in OPs post.

There is also no need for your "free country" and implied "free to be stuipd" comment.

There is no engine specific magic formula. Manufacturers are simply betting on different formula tweaks being best for their engines, while parts of their engines that come in contact with coolant are made largely of the very same materials.

I believe he was replying to someone from yesterday, who posted a link to the DexCool and not the OP's message from nearly two years ago.

That "someone" (post #5 from 12.11.2017 and not yesterday) was me and the context was entirely different.

I wonder how some people suppose to understand anything if they don't even care to read?

Actually, it was WillyD who said he was using Prestone DexCool (post 18).
And if WillyD wants to use the wrong coolant that is his choice. It doesn't matter to me. I just try to provide information (as you also seem to do). Whether people listen to it or not I can't control.
I am sorry if you thought I was talking about you. I clearly was not.

The Mopar OAT 10yr/150k pre-diluted 50/50 one I got (post #8) worked great. I've only had to top off my reservoir twice since March 2016.

What's the shelf life of a coolant bottle after opened?
