need a drag link...

i've been chasing this little tap in the floor board for months, well today while trying yet again to track it down i notice my drag link is twisted. the pitman arm side is almost fully rotated back and the wheel side is fully rotated forward. i didn't think anything of it at the time i just loosened up the adjustment sleeve, lined them up again and tightened it down. looked like the tre backed out 1 1/2 threads.

well, good news... that little tap is gone.....

bad news... it was replaced with a nasty rattle when driving and a groan when i turn.

i'm guessing it bound up a while ago and has been slowly destroying the ball joints at either end.

as long as i'm replacing it i mise well upgrade. i'm running a 2.5" lift w/35's so i don't need a flip but what are my options? everything i see is for a flip other then stock ones and crown ones that look just like stock...

also, think i can make it a week safely driving back and forth to work? don't have another car to use...

Man, I thought for sure this would have a link to a website with pix of men dressed up as women driving Jeeps . . .

Why a flip at 2.5?

You do know there's other parts involved ie Track bar bracket; 3" bumps, rear trackbar bracket (if you don't already have one), knuckle insert, swaybar tab ?

Honestly there's no need unless you're having bumpsteer issues.

Fwiw, many manufacturers make high steer drag links. Stock RHD (crown)?, Synergy, RK, RE, etc.
Matter of fact EVO, AEV use a stock drag link And the Attenuator would stay if you had one.

read that again, it says "don't need a flip". but i already got the synergy drag link being 2 day'd to me sine it was the only one i saw that said it could be used in the stock location. don't think i saw the aev or evo, and any high steer was not going to work, the 3 i saw at the time were mopar and crown which were the same and the synergy. saw plenty on high steer ones.

and i'll find out in 10 minutes if it's safe to drive to work.......

well it did ok, no real rattling on the highway, only some going slow around a corner. much more audible then before. the tap on the floor board is gone but i can feel it rattle when i hear it in the same place as i was feeling it before, it's just not random anymore. no groans going around corners today...

on the bright side my steering actually feels better....
