Need wiring info

Hey guys, new here but not new to forums, so kinda bare with me. Lol. I searched first but couldn't find what I needed.

I have a 2014 JKU and I'm adding rear lights. The switch I'm using has the option to light up when dash lights r on and such. Where do I need to tap into for that? TIA!!

I would think it would be easiest to wire into your tail lights, they come on the same time as the dash lights.

I just came across this thread, it might help: https://www.wranglerforum.com/f274/20...am-132066.html

That does make sense. I'll tap into the parking lights. Now just to find the easiest one close to the switch so I'm not running a lot of wires.

Honestly, I would not tap any feed wire on a JK. The CANBUS will start giving you the finger in a hurry. Run all your aux stuff either through an sPOD are directly through a fused link to the battery.
