New Pipes

I have a 2010 Sahara Unlimited and am thinking of putting a set of headers and dual exhaust pipes. does anybody have any recommendations?

Yep...Don't. That is my recommendation. This is my opinion, don't take it the wrong way and I am sure there are others that feel otherwise. I don't think headers would be worth it AT ALL. The gains you will receive will be so minimal that it will in no way out weigh the cost and the possible frustration. I put headers on my 2006 Silverado and they were a major pain in the butt! I was constantly battling exhaust leaks. The factory manifolds are cast and are very heavy duty and don't warp. Aftermarket headers are thinner and with the heat cycle will warp and cause exhaust leaks that will drive you crazy! Have you ever heard an exhaust leak at the header? Its a fast pace tictictictictictictic that gets louder as the leak get worse. Again, the marginal gains you may get will give you nothing with the seat of the pants "butt dyno". As far as exhaust, if you are looking for different sound, that's one thing, but if you are looking for HP gains, again VERY marginal and nothing for the "butt dyno".

Yes no go vote! Off of the engine is a BS rectangular flange that runs into the converter with you do not want to mess with.

Your only chance is taking the factor Y-pipe and cutting it to do what you want. But I would be surprised if you get a deeper sound out of it. The non-header type manifold really screws up any chance of having an aggressive sound.

These VVT engines are tuned for these exhaust systems so if you start hacking it up you will be in the dark on having it properly calibrated.

Good luck and be carefully changing anything in front of the Y-pipe.

That brings the power output of the 3.8 close to the 3.6.
