No diy quick discos on a 2.5 inch lift.

Hey all, I was reading some about utilizing the diy quick disconnects. I read on a couple that you should use them on jeeps lifted above 2 inchs, and does not explain why. Jeep Homemade Swaybar Disconnects

I,ve never heard anyone tell me you have to use them period. All they do is allow you to undo your sway bar links faster. I had homemade ones for a while but they tend to not fit as tight as the stock bolt so I removed mine and went back to my stock bolt. I mean in all reality you can have them removed in 10 minutes or less the way they are.

I wouldn't have never heard that either. But in all honesty you will get the best performance out of a set of real quick discos over the DIYs. The DIYs have been known to fail, or the pin snap off the end. I'm going with the flex connects next in mine and I'm going to get JKS to throw in the quicker discos. They are pricey but that's what I want. You can find a cheap set of full replacements that will be better than doing the DIYs.
