One Rear Tire looks off??

took my JK out for its first official wheeling trip since i've had it (8months now) and i'm pretty sure it was babied before me because I know the previous owner and his habits...it has a 3.5" RC lift with 325s on it...after I came back I noticed the passenger rear tire seems to not be sticking out as much as the others are..seems like it has sunk itself inward. I haven't measured it yet to see the difference but to the eye it seems maybe an 1" roughly, we also did "easy trails" as the guides stated

Side note..I also have the classic JK Lean thats been around for about the past 4 months..not sure if this helps with anything..it all seems to drive and move down the road just the same, just looks a bit off since the trip.

Anything I should be looking at to get started?

Have you ever retorqued or greased the suspension since you owned it? Inspected the wheels/lugs/Cs/tie rod and all that other stuff etc? Is your axle centered properly? A Jeep should not lean.

I will start with those things tonight, I have however, greased any/every fitting I could find on the Jeep a few months back. As I have read online, this Jeep JK "lean" is quite common for what seems to be a few different reasons but no set issue.

Did you loose any height ?
RC coils are known to sag .. You have a axle side track bar bracket .. Looks to me the axle is over corrected.

No its sitting exactly the same for height...and I have read that the coils may sag over time with extra pressure on the pass side..im starting to think somehow the rear axle has moved towards the driver side..we never really hit anything much on the trail either

It just looks a little over corrected to me as well. I suspect it was like that all along.

Take a picture of the track bar and both axle and frame mounts and post so we can see them.

The whole axle can shift, but not just 1 wheel.

Where are you measuring from ? I can see it's off but not 1.5"
Grab the square hole in the frame with the tape. Measure to a mold line or tread groove on the
tire.

I just had an accident that had me worried about the rear axle position. I was told that it does not sit centered with the body. After a 4 wheel alignment and a through going over by the body shop it still looks off but it is within specs. I trust the shop, I have used them in the past and they were my choice not the insurance companies pick.

i bet your axle has been the same sinse the lift. You just happen to notice that after your off road trip. My both axles shifted 1/2" to the driver side after 2.5" lift. i verified that its not gonna affect performance or anyth rather than cosmetic. Been driving like that for almost 2 years.

Keep in mind that the axle moves side to side during suspension travel. As your suspension compresses, your axle moves towards the drivers side. As it extends, it moves towards the passengers side. If your Jeep was 1" taller, your axle would be close to being centered.

The brackets that we add, in this case the axle side track bar bracket, has multiple functions. One of those functions is centering up the axle, but since the axle moves side to side during suspension travel, unless your ride height is perfect for the bracket it will be off a little one way or the other.

If it bothers you, the fix is an adjustable rear track bar.
