Pass Side Mirror Dripping

Hey Guys, Can someone tell me if this is a common issue? I have a 2014 JKU and when I wash the rig, the passenger side outside mirror drips water from the bottom ( where it attaches to the outside door ) for days.. and leaves a white water mark down the door. Left side is fine! I took off the mirror and there is a gasket there and its not kinked and looks fine.. Any help would be great! I would hate to bring it to the dealer for some simple fix.. If its something I can do! Thanks for any replies..

The mod shown above the guy drills the hole in the arm in the middle most posts show the hole drilled at the base ... Which is the best spot to drill the hole?

So that's why they had that recall for them.

3/16" and drill it at the base right in the bezel.

Nope, one hole at the base will allow it to all drain out. 3/16 is large enough to not get stopped up. You can do it on the jeep without removing the mirror. Once you get the hole started then angle it upward and you can ease it through without hitting the painted surface under the mirror base. A great mod and keeps the water from weeping down and getting under the hinge, causing more corrosion.

Done! Perfect FIX! WOW! No more white drip marks! Pissing like a race horse! Check out the video! I was amazed how much water comes out when you wash the rig! This is why it took 3 days to drip out! There was a lot of dirt behind the gasket and the little drain notches were clogged too!

Water was leaking down inside the door/mirror and shorting out the heated mirror wiring. So they had a recall for it.
