Possible heat issue 08 JKU?

Hey everyone, so I am new to Jeeps and I recently bought a 2008 JKU Rubi from these custom truck dudes. They do amazing work and I am still in contact with them as they offered to let me use them to buy parts wholesale. I just noticed earlier that my Jeep was kinda smelling really hot in my garage and the hood and everything is really hot to the touch even after being parked for some 30 or 45 minutes. I drove it earlier for about 20 minutes, class for about 90 minutes and back home for another 20 minute ride and then left it parked and it was still that hot. My hoses are all brand new and I don't see any leaks, my coolant level is high and orange, and my temp gauge says everything is good. I just drove it over 1500 miles straight through from Texas to here in Cali with absolutely no issue. The guy who runs the custom shop said it is normal for the old 3.6's to run and stay hot like that, but I figured I would consult with you all here just to make sure. I have very little pinch on my main radiator hose and as far as I can tell, the radiator itself isn't damaged. I haven't check the radiator yet because the motor is still hot. Any insight and advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I wouldn't panic. As long as your temp is good and coolant level good I don't see a problem.

It doesn't seem like you have a problem. You have a 3.8, which still isn't a problem. Good luck with your JK.

My 2008 JK heats up fast and stays hot. My kids love it in the winter because the heater is blowing warm air before we even get out of our neighborhood. I would say what you are experiencing is normal.

If you are really concerned about it get an infrared thermometer and take some sample temperatures when it is warmed up and see how warm it is actually running.
