Problem with steering wheel

Hello to everyone. I’m having a problem with my steering wheel. For some reason everytime I’m turning a corner and recentering the steering wheel it isn’t actually recentering. It is 1/4 to 1/8 of a turn to one side, also if I get some speed the ESP Off kicks in. I already tightened the pit arm, drag link and everything. Could the steering box be bad? Also after driving for a while it actually straightened the steering and fills normal. I would just go ahead and change the whole power steering but I live in Peru, South America so I kinda need to know what it could be so I don’t buy something that isn’t and waste the money. Thanks in advance and any advise is welcome!!

Could your track bar have been bent? If the track bar is bent (or mis-adjusted, if you have an adjustable track bar), you will get a steering wheel that is off center, which will trigger the ESC system. You could also get this if the mounting holes for the track bar are wallowed out, or the mounting bolts are loose. Check your track bar very thoroughly.

Odds are either the drag link, tie rod, or track bar adjuster has come loose or one of those three is bent.
It should not be that hard to fix, it may require replacing a bent tie rod, track bar, or drag link.
