Problems with iPhone playing music

I have a 2015 JK Connect had been working fine. I started using the USB port for awhile for the enhanced information about the music i was listening to. Today the USB would not play music, I tried repairing bluetooth connect again and agin with no USB plugged in and again no music. When pairing there is a red x over the speaker on the screen where it shows paired devices, but that goes away. Any ideas? I tried restarting iPhone and jeep.

Following this: we have heck with blue tooth and AUX cable consistently working properly. PITA is what it is.... would love to hear an answer to it myself. Our 2013 and 2015 U connect. Android and Iphone. one minute all is good, next everything acts totally foreign. Have nearly quit using to avoid frustrations.

Had a 2009 RER with the iPod integration cable and a 4S and every once in a while it would not connect. I had to reset the phone for it to re-connect. Replaced it with a new Pioneer and everything works.

I've found that in my 2012 jeep that if I try to use Bluetooth and the factory USB port simultaneously, it gets weird and has issues, especially if trying to use Spotify. My solution has been to continue use Bluetooth since it works well, and if I need power/charging, to just use a USB adapter in the center console. In all honesty, the factory USB port is a PIA to use

Thanks everyone. So the sound went all together, even Nav system would not talk to me. I contacted support at UConnect and they have been wonderful. They are replacing the radio tomorrow.

My uconnect is garbage. Bluetooth worked great for about a month then started doing weird stuff. I usually wait a few mins for it to connect after turning on my jeep. When I push the aux button it'll say no disc even though my phone is connected and there's never even been a disc in there.. So I turn the radio off and back on. Wait another few seconds... Push aux button again and it'll either say no disc or try to use the UCI usb connection which there is never anything plugged into. My phone still says connected to uconnect. Sooo i turn the radio off and back on again, go back to XM and wait 10 or so seconds and push he aux button, it might connect this time but only for about 5 seconds, just long enough to make me think it's working. Then shuts off Bluetooth and goes to fm radio. Turn off radio again and wait, turn it back on and I go through this stupid cycle usually 3 times before it decides to start working as it should.
I've taken it to the dealership (it's still well under warranty with 12k miles and a 2015) they kept it for 2 whole days and I'm 99% sure they didn't do anything. My presets were still set, my phone hadn't even been unpaired. Nothing was fixed. They said they did an update, which I'm pretty sure only made my XM reception worse.

Sorry I have no suggestions or fixes, just wanted to vent my frustrations on a relevant thread!

Mine also acts screwy on occasion.

Sometimes the USB connection will disconnect when a call comes in

Other times the play list will just change, it will keep repeating the same two songs. This happens after many songs have already played.

The only fix I have come up with is to disconnect the iphone USB cable and then plug it back in. This works most of the time

I would love to hear about a real fix

X2!!

That's the only action I've found that fixes it. I have an iPod, 6th gen, plugged into the USB port in the console. I have the 130 head unit with Sirius and Uconnect... Alpine speakers. Sometimes it'll play correctly, other times not. I've double checked the connections, both ends, changed USB cables and turned off the head unit and iPod. Nothing seems to work consistently, and there's no rhyme or reason for it happening. I have noticed that when I change songs using the steering wheel controls, it's more liable to happen than when I just let it play. It's aggrevating!

In the car I had before buying the Wrangler, I installed a Pioneer AVH-x5600BHS head unit. I used the USB and the same iPod for months. Then out of nowhere it seemed, the USB quit working and I had to switch to Bluetooth exclusively. I was never able to figure out if it was the iPod or head unit before buying the Jeep. I was hoping that would all be fixed with the new Jeep. Boy was I wrong! It may just be that an Apple product does not work well with them? Haven't tried my Android phone yet, but that's in the plans someday soon.

I would love to hear a solution as well. Bluetooth works pretty consistently but the usb works almost never. I really liked having the option to see the detailed information with the usb

It's funny, well not very. But now all of the sudden, as long as bluetooth is turned on with my phone, I seem to just be able to get into our 2013 and my phone is automatically connected to my jeep, never would before. But with our 2015 I discovered the voice mic (up in the corner) is shot. Thanks to another thread. When a system becomes this frustrating for about half of the users, you would think the engineers would do something to make it actually "U connect" rather than "maybe it will connect if you hold your head at the proper angle and stand on your left foot, while doing the hokey pokey".

"hey babe, lets jump in the jeep and take a ride, hopefully we can connect to the stereo".
